At the Ironbound Catholic Academy of the Archdiocese of Newark we recognize that each child is a precious gift from God. Like snowflakes, no two children are exactly alike - and no two children learn in exactly the same way.Our school offers a challenging academic curriculum that is rich in the moral values your child will need to succeed in life. With low teacher-student ratios and plenty of personal attention, our school creates a safe and encouraging environment that challenges bright minds to explore their interests and discover the best in themselves, their classmates, and the world. 04/10/20Dear I.C.A. Family,At this historically difficult time, I would like to share some of the highlights of the message that Pope Francis sent to the Christians around the world before celebrating Holy Week in an unusual manner due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic:“Creativity of love can overcome isolation.”“It is a difficult time for everyone. For many, very difficult.”“And in the silence of our cities, the Easter Gospel will resound,” Pope Francis said.
“In the risen Jesus, life conquered death.”“It is the hope of a better time, in which we can be better, finally freed from evil and from this pandemic,” he said. “It is a hope; hope does not disappoint. It is not an illusion, it is a hope.”Please stay safe! Many God’s Blessings for good health and for better times when we are freed from this pandemic! Blessed Easter to our I.C.A. 03/27/20Dear I.C.A.
Family,I hope my message will find all of you safe and healthy. As we are making our way through week 2 of remote learning, let meassure you that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. There is not a daythat goes by without our faculty and staff thinking about the I.C.A.

Contact U.S. Senator Bob Menendez of New JerseyDear Families, Friends, and Supporters:The big “Phase 3” coronavirus relief bill (called the CARES Act) being considered in the US Senate is at a critical stage. Currently there is a paragraph in the CARES Act allowing for non-public schools to receive relief under the Education Stabilization Fund. However, it appears that leadership in the Senate is trying to remove this language.
The bill is being considered RIGHT NOW and we need outreach to our NJ Senators asking them to support the work of Catholic and other nonpublic schools as all students need to benefit from the CARES Act. The contact information for Senators Menendez and Booker is below. As time is of the essence on the vote, please TWEET, EMAIL,or CALL them right away. This is time sensitive.THE ASK: Insist that the funding and “equitable services/proportional share” language for non-public schools that was included in the Sunday version of the CARES Act is retained in the version reportedly to be released today.Senator Menendez: @SenatorMenendez973-645-3030Senator Booker: @SenBooker @CoryBooker973-639-8700Thank you for answering the call to support our studentsby advocating for them! The Official U.S. Senate website of Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey. 4.files.edl.ioDear Catholic School Families of the Archdiocese of Newark,We are all hoping you are doing well and staying healthy!
